The History and Geography topics are linked for this term based on the theme of The Seaside.
Geography
This part of the topic is based on learning about the physical features of the seaside and reasons for going there.
We will begin the topic by recognising other places we may have visited, and conducting a survey to find out which places are the most popular.

History
The main learning objective for this part of the theme is to look at holidays in the past and why people chose the seaside as a holiday destination. We will be finding out about our holidays, our parent's holidays, our grandparent's holidays and even what holidays were like before that! Should be interesting! If any parents or grandparents have any photos from holidays 'in the olden days' we would be grateful if you could let the children bring a copy into school for us to look at.
